Happy New Year 2018

Ringing in the New Year

Hi GracePoint Family,

As a kid, we would often go to my aunt and uncle’s house for New Year’s Eve. Not many things are better growing up than getting to stay up late while playing games, and eating junk food. It was always a lot of fun for us and perhaps for many of you, you also have fond memories of ringing in the new year.

This holiday is also a great opportunity to reflect on the previous year and look forward to the coming year. Often, the new year is associated with some kind of resolutions to make for better health and wealth. I would invite you to enjoy the holiday and to also make it a meaningful time by reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the next. What has God done this past year in you? In your community? In your workplace? What has he done at GracePoint? Then…what does God want to do this next year through you in the places you find yourself? While physical health is certainly important and should be a priority, what about your spiritual health? May we take an opportunity to reflect together as we ring in 2018.

This weekend, Angelia and I and the kids will be taking a few days to rest so we will not be with you Sunday. But it will be a great day as Pastor Ellis Benton from Medford First Church shares a great message that the Lord has placed on his heart. You will not want to miss it.

Praying with hope,

Pastor Phil
